The rain has finally calmed down, but alas, it got the better of us. Council has had to close the fields this weekend, and with no alternative field, even in the Eastern Suburbs, we have resigned ourselves to the fact that the trial has to be cancelled.

To the players, please still get to training, as we have a trail against Mosman the next weekend, and would love to have a good showing.

To the supporters, sorry for the one week delay in your season start, I assure you Champagne rugby for the forthcoming season as compensation.

The Lindfield Golden Oldies team known as the “Funnel Webs” has again been invited into the 2017 Rugby GO Draw. This is for over 35’s, and is a fiercely fought, yet highly enjoyable competition.

The Funnel Webs did go into hibernation last year only through the lack of venom in its numbers….

However the nest is complete with a full set of the coveted Gold Spider jerseys & some cash in the accounts….. so a new generation is ready to emerge.
